    Fernando Cores received his BS and MS from 1997 and 2000, respectively, and a PdD in distributed multimedia systems from the Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona, Spain, in 2004. He is an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department of the University of Lleida, Spain. His research interests include distributed multimedia systems, multimedia and high-performance P2P systems and parallel simulation.

    Francesc Giné received the B.S. in telecommunication engineering from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain, in 1993 and the M.S. and Ph.D degrees in computer science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain, in 1999 and 2004, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor of Computer Arquitecture at University of Lleida (UdL), Spain. His research interest include cluster, multicluster and peer-to-peer computing and scheduling-mapping for parallel processing.

His current research interest include modelling of parallel applications, optimization of streaming applications, peer-to-peer computing and simulation of distributed systems.

    Josep Lluís Lérida Monsó received the BS degree in computer science from the Open University of Catalonia (OUC), Spain, in 2004 and the MS and PhD degrees from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Spain, in 2006 and 2009, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor of the Computer Science Department at University of Lleida (UdL), Spain. His current research interests include performance modeling, prediction and scheduling of applications in Cluster, Grid and P2P environments.

    Concepció Roig received the MS and PhD degrees from the Universitat Autòonoma de Barcelona, Spain, in 1996 and 2002 respectively. She has been an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Lleida, Spain, since 1992. Her current research interests include parallel and distributed systems, modelling of parallel applications, task graph models, static mapping, task mapping algorithms and optimization of streaming applications.

    Francesc Solsona received the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain, in 1991, 1994 and 2002 respectively. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Lleida (Spain). His research interests include distributed processing, coscheduling, cluster computing, multicluster computing, scheduling and resource management in P2P systems.

    Jordi Vilaplana received the B.S. in Computer Science degree in 2009 from the University of Lleida, Lleida, Spain. And the M.S. in Computer Science and Open Source degrees both in 2011 from the University of Lleida, Lleida, Spain. He received the Ph.D. degree at the University of Lleida in 2015, where he obtained the 'cum laude' mention. He is currently affiliated with the Distributed Computing group and involved in the #eMOVIX research project. His main research interests include Cloud Computing, e-Health, Big Data and social network data analysis.

    Ismael Arroyo Campos received Technical Engineering in Computer Systems and Engineering Computing degrees from the Universitat de Lleida (UDL), Spain, in 2010 and 2011 respectively. He is currently finishing the Project of the Master's Degree in Engineering in Computer Science in the same University, and he has a grant UdL of the group of distributed computing "Grup de Computació Distribuïda" (GCD). The project, that he is developing with GCD, is study a Liquid Galaxy system, an immersive visualization cluster, implementation of monitoring and bencharmking tools and modeling some application behaviors in this system.

    Eloi Gabaldon Ponsa received the ETIG title from the Escola Politecnica Superior of the Universitat de Lleida (UdL), in 2009. Also received the EI and MEPL titles in 2012 from the same university. He has currently a PHD grant in the GCD group in the Universitat de Lleida (UDL). His research is about optimizing the scheduling of jobs into a multi-cluster system using genetic algorithms.

    Jordi Lladós Segura reveived the ETIS, B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science from the Escola Politècnica Superior of the Universitat de Lleida (UdL), Spain, in 2010, 2012 and 2013 respectively. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Lleida where he has a grant UdL of the group of distributed computing "Grup de Computació Distribuïda" (GCD). His research interests include new algorithmic methods for multiple alignment of genomic sequences on supercomputing environments.

    Jordi Mateo Fornés received the ETIG and B.S. in computer engineering degrees from the Escola Politècnica Superior of the Universitat de Lleida (UdL), in 2006 and 2012 respectively. He also received M.S. in computer engineering from the Escola Politècnica Superior of the Universitat de Lleida (UdL), in 2013. He is currently researching about differents methods of optimitzation related with the operational research area, such as the benders decomposition, applied to real life problems.

    Ivan Teixidó received the ETIS and B.S. in computer engineering degrees from the Escola Politècnica Superior of the Universitat de Lleida (UdL), in 2007 and 2009 respectively. He also received M.S. in applied science to engineering from the Escola Politècnica Superior of the Universitat de Lleida (UdL), in 2011. He is currently research support staff at Universitat de Lleida (UdL) in Lleida. His research interests include Big Data analysis, parallelization of scientific and technological applications and cluster/multicluster scheduling.
